Terms of Service

Effective: June 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of Orbital, a private social network operated by Pure Karma Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

1. Your Account

You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use Orbital. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

2. End-to-End Encryption

Orbital encrypts your messages, files, and content on your device before transmission. We do not hold the keys to decrypt your content. This means:

  • We cannot recover your messages or files if you lose your device or encryption keys
  • We cannot read, search, or moderate the content of your messages
  • We cannot comply with requests to produce the content of your communications, because we do not have access to it

You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your device and encryption keys.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Orbital to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Distribute illegal content
  • Impersonate another person
  • Attempt to circumvent or compromise the encryption
  • Use the service to distribute spam or bulk unsolicited messages
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service's infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, though our ability to detect violations is limited by the end-to-end encryption we provide.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create and share through Orbital. We do not claim any rights to your content. Because your content is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot access, use, or monetize it.

5. Orbits and Membership

Orbits are invite-only groups. The orbit creator is the administrator and may invite or remove members. If you are the sole administrator of an orbit, you must transfer ownership or dissolve the orbit before deleting your account.

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep Orbital available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from service interruptions, though we will make reasonable efforts to prevent such loss.

7. Limitation of Liability

Orbital is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pure Karma Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Because we cannot access your encrypted content, we cannot be held responsible for content shared between users within orbits or direct messages.

8. Termination

You may stop using Orbital and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your server-stored data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Orbital after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
